After months of the game being out and no new announcements of any DLC, fans who bought the season pass to Bioshock: Infinite started to get impatient and worried. The wait has been over as one DLC was released today and the next one has been announced for release soon.
Bioshock Infinite: Clash in the Clouds
This DLC is purely battle based as it provides sixty challenges and four new maps. You complete challenges in order to earn items for The Columbian Archeological Society, which displays artwork, Voxophones, and more. It is hinted that some of the Voxophones may expand on the character Rosalind Lutece, a fan favorite of the game. There is also achievements and Trophies for the DLC. This pack has the price tag of $5.
Bioshock Infinite: Burial at Sea
This DLC takes players back to Rapture right before the events that caused the underwater city its downfall in a very noir looking story. This content was made entirely from scratch according to Irrational Games, putting aside any fears that it might be a rehashing of content from the original Bioshock. It has been sold as merging the best of both Bioshock and Bioshock: Infinite, even going so far as to having sky lines. News outlets are also reporting that you will be able to play as both Booker and Elizabeth in this content. This story will be released in two parts, both looking to be included with the Season Pass or $15 for each separate part.
Clash in the Clouds is available today and is currently available on Steam and Xbox 360. Playstation 3 will have it available at a later date. Part one of Burial at Sea will have it’s release date announced soon.
